Buy this guitar before they are gone! Limited and times is ticking...
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Not one freakin' flaw! Period! This is a heavy solid Les Paul guitar. It just feels right. I went over this guitar more than once and could do nothing but smile to myself on how well this guitar is put together. I know my son will be waiting for me to pass this down to him, though no time soon. Hey, I'm having a lot of fun with this LP.
|
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it for two weeks. Got it from AMS, they rock. I don't see anything going wrong with this guitar no time soon. I do baby my equipment, but I'm sure this guitar will hold up for years.
|
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
More like the flagship for Studio LP's in my opinion. Nothing beats opening up that USA Gibson hardshell case for the first time and seeing a beauty such as this Bonamassa LP! I just stared at before I removed it from said case. It was a moment for me and wow! Did I score or what! Gibson and Joe put out a great guitar for steal considering what Gibson's line up generally goes for. If it wasn't for the fact it didn't have binding, (like all Studios) I would have thought this was a higher end Les Paul. The case is gorgeous as well, (made in Canada, good job).

Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
After the tone, this is really what determines if this guitar gets played or not. I forgotten how chunky the neck can be...and my hands took to it like a fish to water. It just started to feel great in my hands the more I played. I love the neck and the medium jumbo frets were perfect. No buzz spots, no unfinished filed frets on the ends, it was all smooth. The controls are fine, I'm not a fan of plastic knobs since my hands can become sweaty. Normally, I order custom metal knobs. Personally, I like that Joe preffered mis-matched control knobs. For now I'm leaving this lovely LP stock (even though I saw some cool gold metal UFO hats knobs).
|
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone was on the money! These BB are simply wonderful! They can be bright, loud, clear, hot without being harsh, mellow without being too thick or thin. If you cannot find your tone with this set of PUP's, try music listening appreciation and simply give up playing guitar. It's a Les Paul and does what a Les Paul should do, play and sound wonderful! Buy this guitar before they are all gone - limited run and they are done. Then you have to take a chance on eBay after they are all gone.
|
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
This is one of the most beautiful gold tops I've ever seen. It's not the regular gold color you find on gold tops either. Everyone that has seen my guitar has nothing but praise. The black back, sides, and neck just made that gold pop more. No flaws in the paint whatsoever.
|
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect! I'm like really? I don't have to go get it set? I've had guitars shipped to me that came close, but this one was dead on. Action was butter to play.
