    Product Description

A no-nonsense price, this guitar includes all the classic ingredients that have made the Les Paul Standard legendary since humbuckers first hit the scene in 1957, along with a familiar, played-in look and feel. Ever since its introduction more than a quarter of a century ago, the Les Paul Studio has proven a major favorite with guitarists looking for genuine Les Paul tone and performance in a down-to-business package that is light on frills, heavy on swagger and easy on the pocket.

Now the Les Paul Studio from Gibson USA brings the package together with legendary playability, two of Gibson’s finest humbucking pickups, and the classic tonewood combination—including the maple top that’s missing from many Studio models—that helped to make the Les Paul Standard famous in the first place. All this in genuine nitrocellulose lacquer, with the pre-aged look and feel that so many guitarists prefer.

Just like the most revered Les Paul Standards of all time, the Les Paul Studio starts with the classic tonewood combination of a mahogany body with solid carved maple top. Together, these woods offer outstanding tonal depth and richness from the mahogany, with superb clarity and “snap” from the maple. In this model, the strategic placement of several tone chambers enhances resonance while also reducing the guitar’s overall weight considerably, without sacrificing an ounce of punch or sustain. And even in this more affordable instrument from Gibson USA, the glued-in, solid-mahogany neck is cut to the superior “quarter-sawn” grain orientation for superior strength and optimum resonance transfer between neck and body. The neck is carved to a comfortably rounded ’50s profile that measures .818” at the 1st fret and .963” at the 12th. It is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made from rosewood, a wood selected for its sustain and bite. Traditional acrylic trapezoid inlays grace the board, but a lack of fingerboard and body binding help to keep costs down, while enhancing the raw, ready-to-rock look of this Studio model.

To make optimum use of all that sweet resonance and singing sustain, the Les Paul Studio carries a pair of Gibson’s best pickups. Updated from the acclaimed Burstbucker pickups that populate numerous instruments from Gibson Custom, the Burstbucker Pros on this guitar give you all the renowned warmth, growl and zing of genuine PAF humbuckers, with biting Alnico V magnets. The set includes a slightly overwound bridge pickup for searing lead tones, and both pickups feature wax-potted coils to squelch microphonic squeal at high volumes. Together, they provide everything from warm, vocal blues tones in the neck position, to snappy in-between settings, to phenomenal crunch and wail in the bridge position. To further maximize all that vibrational energy, Gibson includes its legendary Tune-o-matic bridge and stud-mounted wraparound tailpiece, along with a Graph Tech nut, and a set of traditional tuners.

Wrap it all in a grab-and-go Gibson gigbag, with owner’s manual and coverage by Gibson’s Limited Lifetime Warranty and 24/7/365 Customer Service, and you’ve got one of the best values going in a genuine Les Paul, only from Gibson USA.

What is your opinion of this product?
It is great set up right out of the box. For under a grand this is a steal. Great for giging sounds just like the higher end Gibsons I have. Dont mind taking my Faded worn brown or Faded worn cherry to shows wows the crowed and looks good . If broken or stolen Im not out thousands. Like I would be with my high end Les Pauls. First time with AMS and will order more in just a few weeks.

    Great looking and sounding Guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
This is my second Gibson Les Paul Studio in faded brown. the first one came to me looking like a return that and the nut and frets were so sharp they took skin off my left hand. so it was returned with no problems. the replacement is 100% better the frets were still a little sharp but that is due to no binding on the neck It took my local music shop less than 10 minutes to resolve this minor problem now its my go to guitar the wood grain on mine is amazing not quite as good as the one pictured but very close. all in all this is a great Guitar to have in your collection. I play it at least 2 hours a day and every time is a great adventure

    Exceeded my expectations!
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought this guitar for my nephew who was graduating high school and junior college simultaneously. When he opened the box I was amazed at the quality of the guitar. I had heard some negative reviews regarding the grain wood selection for the maple cap, but his was spectacular. The finish was Worn Faded Cherry and had the appearance of an oiled and burnished piece of wood. As for the sound, it was was pure Les Paul.

    Excellent Guitar!
What is your opinion of this product?
I purchased the faded, worn brown version and am very pleased. To me it is absolutely beautiful and well-crafted. The guitar has a nice balanced feel to it and excellent tonal qualities. I first played it on a cheap, 10watt amp I was going to "re-gift" and after playing this guitar through it, I decided it wasn't the amps fault. The guitar came actually set up and even in tune. I could play it out of the box. Worth way more than the purchase price. One reason I like it also is that it is not over done with but simple, classic and very functional.

    "Awesome Axe"....
What is your opinion of this product?
Straight out of the box it felt right. Action was nice, tone was awesome unamplified. When plugged in, I got the sound and feel I hadn't felt since I let '80 Gibson 'The Paul' model get away. I have always wanted to get another 'Gibby', now I have one. Great Axe, Great price point. An American made Gibson!
