Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus Electric Guitar with Case

A truly refined guitar, the Les Paul Standard Plus fills the void between the Les Paul Standard and the Les Paul Custom.
Starting at the neck, the Les Paul Standard now features an enlarged neck tenon for maximum wood contact, and a new asymmetrical neck profile that makes it one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever offered. Locking Grover Rotomatic tuners with an improved gear ratio of 18:1 are also a first for the Les Paul Standard. A new level of sonic clarity is achieved by new, cusom-made, gold-plated potentiometers made by Bourns. The guitar boasts a great lineup of other features, including a carved AA figured maple bound top, Burstbucker Pro pickups and five great sunburst finishes.

If you can handle everything about the Gibson except the price, check this out. Engineers designed this modern classic with the arched top and fast neck of the best Les Pauls. It has an arched, figured curly Maple, carved top in faded sunburst finishes for that great LP look. And like all Les Pauls, features a solid glued neck joint for great sustain and stability. These guitars are built to 100% Gibson specifications.

It’s also one of the first Gibson USA models to utilize the revolutionary Plek system, a computer-controlled setup that carefully measures and dresses each fret, accurately measuring the height between the fingerboard and each string, virtually eliminating string buzz and providing unbeatable playability. A set of Gibson’s Burstbucker Pro humbuckers deliver the powerful punch expected from a Les Paul, faithfully capturing the magic of Gibson’s legendary PAF pickups of the 1950’s. A chambered mahogany body gives the 2008 Standard enhanced resonance, and a plain maple top pays homage to the iconic Les Pauls of the late 1950’s. Other new features include TonePros’ locking Nashville Tune-o-matic and stopbar tailpiece, strap lock buttons, and each one comes with Gibson USA’s standard black snakeskin case.

Subject:GREAT GIBSON USA PRODUCT!!! GREAT JOB GIBSON!!
Quality: I personally consider this guitar a piece of art...My impression is that this guitar is built very well, but, IT IS A GIBSON USA ... WHAT MORE CAN YOU EXPECT!! GIBSON USA LES PAUL IS THE EPITOME OF GUITARS...IT IS THE GUITAR THAT HAS BEEN PLAYED IN EVERY GENRE OF MUSIC...AND ANY TRUE AFICIANADO OF GUITARS EITHER WANTS OR HAS AT LEAST 1 IN THEIR COLLECTION!!!
Reliability: I have only owned mine for 3 weeks now, but with care that should be given to a guitar of this caliber, It will definitely outlast me!
Overall: Alot of people (traditionalists) like to argue that the chambered body takes away from the natural tone of a Les Paul..I beg to differ. The weight relief is a VERY nice touch and as far as the tone this guitar has THAT GIBSON tone, mabey slightly different, but none the less, Les Paul TONE. THE finish of mine (Desert Burst) is top notch, very beautiful...pix do non of these Les Pauls justice on the web...go check them out at your local music haunt to REALLY see how beautiful these guitars are.
Playability and Feel: Though, not as heavy as a traditional non-chambered, it still has that Les Paul feel on your shoulders (not anvil heavy, but not swing around your head Ibanze light) Really love the assemetrical neck profile, I did not think it was that much different than the standard "chunkiness" of a Paul...It plays GREAT!!
Tone: The tone is whatever you want it to be....guitar straight to valve head what you would expect from good ole' Les Paul...add any thing in the signal chain and you can achieve anything you are looking for, but amazingly the les pauls tone is not lost with processing....the burstbucker pros are very well balanced pick ups!!
Finish: I purchased mine in Desert Burst....All I can say i "WOW"..pix did not do this guitar justice. The flame maple under the stain just "pops" out at you when you look at it. It is a pain to keep clean, but I play I don't display ;)
Action: action out of the box was amazing...it was a plekd guitar...and I have to say that is a great technology. I immediately changed to new Gibson Brite Wires 10's - 46's last thing i did was set the bridge just slightly lower and...wala..this thing plays like butter!!

Subject:Great Punch, Sustain, and tone, tone, tone
Quality: This is my first Gibson, I have owned 3 Ephipones before and in no way they come close to the Beauty and Sound Quality of this guitar. Think V6 Mustang and Shellby, Coke and a Sam's Choice Cola, DVD and Blu Ray. An expensive guitar in my opinion but worth every penny. However AMS offers a great payment plan, take advantage of it.
Reliability: It will probably outlast you.
Overall: This is the best guitar I have ever played with. A true mastery of the guitar making process from the aethetics, to the fast comfortable neck, to the trademark Gibson tone. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get the best out of a vavle amp. Do your research, check out the sound clips, own it.
Playability and Feel: The neck was one of my favorite features, the aymetrical shape makes for one of the most comfortable to play. I own an American Strat with rounded neck edges and it is not as fast as the Les Paul.
Tone: Very versatile sound, I play anything from blues to hard Rock, this guitar excels in every genre, particularly Metal. I am an effects junkie, but I run this baby through a Boss Metal Zone and a Fender Supersonic and that’s that, no need for anything else, lots of punch and all the sustain you’ll ever need.
Finish: The aesthetics of this guitar are superb, I noticed Gibson dropped the pickguard for this model, that is a matter of taste, personally I like how it looks without it. I bought mine in a Honey Burst finish and it is the nicest I have ever seen. Check out the pictures of the Honey Burst finishes in other Gibson models like the the Les Paul Traditional or the Classic and see the difference for yourself.
Action: These guitars are Plek’d at the factory, Superb out-of-the-box setup, just tune up and start playing.
