Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar with Case

The Gibson Les Paul Studio enhances the solid, proven design of the world’s most famous guitar with a sleek, no-frills look.
The Studio Les Paul gives traditional performance with a Modern attitude. Introduced nearly 25 years ago as a guitar for the studio musician, the Les Paul Studio has become one of the most desired Les Pauls for it's tremendous harmonic capabilities.

The Studio maintains the iconic Les Paul's traditional elements: a maple top with a matched mahogany back, and a neck crafted from a single piece of mahogany, hand-sanded to perfection, and given Gibson's traditional 50 rounded neck profile.

The body is comprised of a carved maple top with a mahogany back. The neck is the '59 rounded Les Paul shape. Its humbuckers are a 490R (neck) and 498T Alnicos. With the rest of the Les Paul line, the Studio carries forward decades of Gibson excellence.

Read what some of our customers have said:

The sound is amazing. You'll sound like a pro just by playing this guitar. Dennis K. From Shippensburg PA

Sounds perfect. I am not changing a thing! mayes213 From Poseyville, IN

I've had a hard time putting it down since I got it. Sounds awesome! Joe L. from Overland Park
The Les Paul Studio is the favorite of guitarists who demand traditional Les Paul performance with a modern look.

Gibson Pickups

490R
This Modern Classic pickup features tonal characteristics similar to the ’57 Classic, but delivers a slight increase in the upper mids, for a more contemporary humbucking sound. The special Alnico II magnet gives this beauty a singing quality that delivers on demand.

498T
Put a slightly hotter Alnico V magnet into a specially wound coil combination, and you get the 498T Hot Alnico with its higher output and emphasis on mid-ranges and highs, the 498T is the perfect rock pickup.

Subject:This guitar is as fine as any standard model
Overall: I have owned my Les Paul Studio for 2yrs and it still is the main guitar in my arsenal. It is reliable and sounds just like the standard Les Paul. The studio just lacks cosmetic glamore other les pauls have.

QUALITY:
Built like a brickhouse.... it's heavy, but I bought a good strap and it's fine now.

FEATURES:
I would add are sperzel locking tuners. The strap buttons were a little small, too, so I bought dunlop straps locks and I'm not afraid of dropping it anymore.

EASE OF USE:
Very playable... low action, no fret buzz.

VALUE:
I bought this back in Aug 06, and paid full price. It's on sale now, which is troublesome, but I'd still pay full price for it again.

SOUND:
Sounds good through my Boss GT-8 into my Laney half stack. It makes my wife go shopping for a few hours while I play...

Subject:Great Sound
Overall: This guitar is amazing! ive had it for a while now and its very reliable, it stays in tune and always has great sound. But the best part is that it still sounds perfect even when you turn up the volume! I played a standard les paul and it was great but when it was turned up it lost its bite and got a deeper less easy to understand sound. This guitar is what ive been waiting for.
"I went with AMS for the "3 Easy Payments" and appreciate that along with free shipping was 1 year free additional warranty... Easy decision and saved me money!" Nov '08
