| New Lefty Les Paul Studio for 2012 |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| Overall very good, however, one of the volume knobs was "off" as it was not aligned with the other 3 in the full off or on position. Easy enough to fix as the knobs just pull off but really it's a new guitar. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Too new to rate. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Great finish and set up. The action was spot on specification and the push-pull knobs are a plus although I use them rarely. Stays it tune. Be forwarned AMS's picture is of last year's model. The 2012 has gold speed knobs and a cream pick guard which I think are sharper. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Nice feel. Heavy, yes, it's a LP even with the "modern" weight relief. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Very snappy and the pickups are hot. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Great grain and finish on the guitar. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| As earlier stated, perfect set up and the action is fast with the narrow neck which I really like. |
