Product Description

Classic 1960s styling and tone with Gibson’s latest Min-ETune electronic tuning system! The Gibson Les Paul 60s Tribute Min-ETune Electric Guitar features a Mahogany body, Maple top and a Mahogany neck with 60’s Slim profile for great playability. BurstBucker 1 and BurstBucker 2 pickups pump out PAF tonal goodness just like the vintage instruments.

Min-ETune
Min-ETune is a small compact battery powered tuning system that is hardly visible from the front of the guitar and allows you to choose from 12 popular tunings or program 6 of your own! Perfect for home, studio and gigging - it even adjusts your guitar's tunings to match other instruments' with the reference tuning feature. All you have to do is PUSH the button, STRUM, get TUNED and ROCK out.

Digital tuners that emulate open tunings are available, but because the Min-ETune physically turns the tuners, the system is always natural. There is no delay, no dampening and no dead sound - just the natural vibration of guitar strings in total harmony with the amp producing ringing harmonics and powerful sustain. Go from a pop songs in E Standard, grunge song in Drop D, an alt metal song in D Standard, and a blues song in open G quickly and all with one guitar!

What is your overall opinion of this product?
This pays as well as my cherished 65 Goldtop that I had to sell years ago.
Quality
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
I was disappointed by the flat black paint of the ebony model. Makes the guitar look and feel cheap. I'd definitely get another color if I were doing this over.
Feel
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The flat black paint on the neck has it's good and bad points. Makes gripping solid, moving up and down the neck harder than with a slick finish reminds me of my mom's 30's acoustic. Can't really decide if I like it or not. I have a Robot LP, and I have to say I like the knob controls of the Robot far better than the mini-E-tune, which is not accessible while you're playing like on the Robot. This was a move in the wrong direction I think.
Tone
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
I'd like the pickups to be a bit warmer like my 2010. But overall the tone is good.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Paint job looks and feels like my mom did it with a spray can.
Value
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
Overall I was disappointed with the paint more than anything. Not sure what they were trying to do with the ebony, but they shouldn't have done it.
Playability
How was the action out of the box?
This is why I kept this guitar instead of sending it back. The action is perfect, flawless, could not be improved in any way, so I was worried that if I swapped it for another finish the action might differ. At the end of the day, the action determines if I love or hate a guitar.
