    Product Description

Inspired by the mid-60s release of this version of the Gibson SJ with a mahogany body, back and sides called the Country Western, this limited edition stands apart. Players love its deep resonance and its authentic, southern appearance and simple, rugged look.

The Country Western’s vintage appeal is unique with its yellow tortoise pickguard and split parallelogram inlays on the bound rosewood fretboard. A premium solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, this square-shouldered, short scale plays like a dream producing rich, dark lows and warm highs.

What is your opinion of this product?
I've been playing a late '90s CL-30 Deluxe for years - picked it up while serving overseas in the USAF and it's been all around the world. There for a few years Gibsons got funky in a bad way. It seemed like every one I picked up had noticeable flaws and that's unacceptable compared to what Taylor and Martin are offering. What's worse, is that they just simply sounded dead. The magic vibe was missing. Enter this gorgeous LE14 C&W. I've been through 100+ acoustic guitars over the last 7 years, exploring and experimenting with everything from Eastmans to Bourgeois models. This Gibson simply feels like home to me - wonderful balance, wonderful craftsmanship, and that classic warm Gibson tone everyone loves and immediately recognizes. It feels and plays like a Custom Shop built boutique guitar.
