Differing from Golden Age Project's R1 series of Microphones, the R2 MKII features a ribbon transducer with a ribbon that is both narrower and shorter making it sound much darker than the R1s. This darker sounding mic is designed for the higher frequencies to roll off much earlier and this contributes to its warmer tone. Perfect for electric guitar recording, whether clean or distorted, the R2 MKII provides excellent reproduction of brass and acoustic instruments and many others. Includes a metal shock mount.
