A brand-new Professional Collection model in celebration of its 130th anniversary, the Gretsch G6137TCB Panther Electric Guitar features a beautiful 1 3/4 inch-deep, 16 inch-lower bout double-cutaway body built with three-ply maple, with an arched top and back, spruce center block, and elegant f holes. The center block, which runs the entire length of the body, imparts several sonic advantages. First, its presence minimizes body-resonant feedback, which, in return, optimizes a more high gain-friendly performance.

The Gretsch G6137TCB Panther's center block is made of spruce, which contributes to a spirited, lively tone. The block itself is chambered at the lower-bout end to minimize weight. The pinned wood bridge base extends over the sides of the center block about 5/8 inches on either side, which transfers string-vibration energy to the two f-hole-vented body chambers to produce an overall rich and full-bodied tone.
Other premium features include a three-piece maple neck, 12 inch-radius bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo-Classic "thumbnail" inlays, single-ply bound headstock with pearloid Gretsch logo, and dual High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups. The guitar also features a top-mounted output jack, ‘G’ arrow control knobs and chrome hardware, an Adjusto-Matic bridge with pinned rosewood base and Bigsby B6C tailpiece, Grover Sta-Tite tuners and Schaller strap locks.
