| G5120 excellent out of the box |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| High quality product, nicely set-up with no defects. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Owned for only 8 months, but the G5120 is still as new, with no finish or set-up issues. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Pleasantly surprised at the workmanship and quality of this relatively inexpensive guitar. It's a keeper! |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Well set-up right out of the box. No adjustments needed for action or playability. The neck was perfect and has stayed true over the 8 months I've owned it. No major tuning issues with the Bigsby. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Nice surprise here. Pickups are great with a good range of tone from clean to crunch. I was originally going to change them out for American Filter Tron's, but I'm in no hurry now. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The finish blew me away. Very well done, with even paint/stain and nicely fitted binding. No issues here. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| For me, action was pretty much perfect out of the box. No adjustments were needed. |
