General
Your general opinion of this product.
Very well made, excellent playability, huge sound.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very well made. excellent fit and finish. No excess glue anywhere. Frets are well finished. The only flaw was a sharp corner on the nut on the low E side.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Brighter than I expected at first. Even a little brassy. After playing for a week its mellowed a bit. Very good separation of notes. Bass was less than expected at first, but the guitar is beginning to open up and the bass is coming through. In all well balanced and the overall tone is good and getting better.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is fantastic, no drips, runs, swirl marks, etc. Top of guitar has nicely book matched spruce, lightly figured with nice tight grain. Rosewood back and sides are beautiful. I've played guitars costing four times as much (cough Gibson cough) that are not finished nearly as well.
