Subject:Well worth the investment
Quality: I've been using an ernie ball volume pedal on my hammond XK-3 for about four years now. I've constantly had problems when playing shows and having the sound guys wanting to DI the keyboard. But with this volume pedal my problems are solved. The thing's action feels amazingly smooth in comparison. The overall sound of the board is better too. I did notice one odd thing about it though. There seems to be a loose screw that ataches the lever of the pedal to the rest so that when you turn your foot from side to side to hit the switch for the leslie you can feel the lever moving slightly. I'm guessign just tightening it up will fix it but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Features: the leslie switch is cool but I think I'm gonna keep using a seperate footswitch because I like being able to use my left foot for this. I also have a problem with the pedal moving around when I'm trying to toggle the leslie speed but maybe this is because I haven't had it that long.
Ease of Use: I'm having a little trouble getting use to the difference of how this pedal controls the volume but I'm sure this will come with time.
Sound: It doesn't really affect the tone directly, but compared to using a regular volume pedal this is definitly a better solution.
Action: Like butter
Value: I think so, it's definitly mad emy life easier.
