Hartke XL Cabinets
Professionals choose the XL Series because of its carefully calibrated and tuned cabinet design and high quality aluminum-cone drivers. XLs produce a smooth response along with the clear, punchy attack that changed the sound of bass. Each cabinet is built tough with a shockproof metal grill, reinforced corners, recessed carry handles and a rugged covering.

Hartke has been redefining the sound of bass guitar since the early 1980s. Their revolutionary aluminum-cone bass drivers and breakthrough cabinet designs were the first to combine an open-ended, articulate response with a fast attack and punchy bottom end. Their bass systems, coupled with dramatic breakthroughs in musicality and instrumental technique by the first high-profile Hartke artist, the late, great Jaco Pastorius, and other distinctive talents such as Stu Hamm, Will Lee and Tom Hamilton, continue to bring a new standard of clarity and accurate tonal reproduction to the bass.

The XL Series provides the highest performance at every level. Each cabinet is carefully calibrated and tuned to give you a smooth, balanced response along with an articulate, high-impact attack. Equipped with custom Hartke XL aluminum-cone drivers for maximum response, the XL Series also features high-quality 3/4"+ 5/8" composite plywood construction and a shockproof metal grille. These high-quality cabinets come equipped with a rugged, road-tough covering, interlocking stacking corners and recessed input jacks to safeguard critical cable connections.

Subject:Excellent cab for any sound, any gig.
Overall: I've played my Hartke 2x10 for the past 5 years, and I have never been disappointed with the sound. I currently play a 5-string bass, and there is plenty of low-end for the B-string. The sound response of these cabs is quick and tight. The aluminum drivers deliver the sound faster than a paper speaker, and the result is a great punchy tone at all volume ranges. People are surprised at how I can fill the room with sound from only a 2x10, without creating that awful, muddy bass messy sound from larger rigs. The Hartke doesn't need to be turned up as loud as a paper 1x15, for example, in order to produce distinguishable tones for you on stage where you're standing. I always have a clear, articulate sound, perfect for a finger-funk, slap and pop, swing/blues, etc. The aluminum drivers also offer plenty of crispy highs. With my rig, I never feel like I have to boost the treble or the bass more than a notch or two.

The cab is lightweight and compact, very easy to transport in a

Overall: The XL series from Hartke Systems is probably the best cabinet series I've ever played with. I love how I get those bright highs as well as those deep low sounds. What can I say? It's just a great cab, and it's easy to transport.

Quality: It seems to be very well constructed.
Features: The sound is very good. Weight and handles are very user friendly. I like the second jack.
Sound: Sounds good. Not too bright for a bass.Like some tweeters.
Reliability: Too early to tell. But seems to be well constructed.
Overall: Very good.It is a great match with my hartke 2500 head. Can't wait to get the matching 1 15 inch bottom.
Value: I thought the price was great.Wish the 15 inch bottom was a little cheaper. But hey if I win the 50 dollar gift certifate it will all work out.
