Hartke AC75 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier The Hartke AC75 will sound like your guitar, only louder! Hartke has taken its experience in building great sounding bass amplifiers and brought it to the field of acoustic guitar amplification with the introduction of the Hartke Acoustic Ribbon Series. Perfect to go from the coffee house to the night club, the AC150 is a two channel 150 watt acoustic guitar combo. Designed in a precision tuned Kickback™ enclosure, with two custom-voiced 5-inch full ranged drivers and a 2-inch by 4-inch ribbon tweeter, the AC75 naturally recreates the sound of the acoustic instrument without adding any unwanted coloration or distortion. Channel 1 has active and piezo instrument inputs, with bass and treble controls, while channel two has XLR microphone and RCA line inputs. There is a 5-band graphic EQ and a built-in 100 preset 24-bit stereo digital effects processor, which can be routed to either channel.
The AC75 features a 75 watt bi-amped design, with 50 watts powering the full range speakers and 25 watts powering the high frequency ribbon tweeter. To reduce feedback, there is a phase switch on channel 1 as well as a variable notch filter with depth control. On the rear panel of the amplifier there is an effects loop, and XLR direct outputs.

Great Little Sound Box
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The overall look gives the impression that this little amp is built like a bulldozer. It looks like it will take some abuse without making a big deal out of it. Will know more in ten years.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Just purchased. Seems to be built like a brick house. Designed and engineered in USA but made in China. All the hardware is solid. Good three year warranty.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Unbelievable value. WOW!I wonder if the guy with the poor sound review was using a quality instrument cable (I use Monster Pro's for a reason) or if guitar batteries were fresh. I own four other acoustic amps including a Marshall, Fende and Laney (have played most others including Roland and SWR) and this one has great features and pure, quality sound which rivals or exceeds all the others. I am excited with this purchase and highly recommend. It's a perfect size for a stage monitor with a line out to the PA (love the tilt-back design). Stand alone for small venues only. Spent hours right out of the box (couldn't quit) and achieved every clean acoustic sound I craved. Expect I will add an overdrive pedal for extra flavor through convenient effects loop. RCA inputs on 2nd channel are a BIG plus. Does everything I expected and a little more for a bargain price. If you want more than what this little amp can give, expect to pay over three times the price. Plus it just LOOKS so darn COOL!!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Great response to guitar work of all kinds. It cranks when you do and whispers to a lighter touch. It projects your feelings quite well. Although it's way heavier than it looks, probably adds to tonal qualities (kinda like an old les paul). Since the controls are all up front, if you keep it within reach, everything is quite handy.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Remarkably reproduced the individual tonal characteristics of each of my acoustic guitars (Gibson, Taylor, Takamine, Ovation) without prejudice. No need for modeling here. I don't want to mimic another sound, I want to BE the sound.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Hardware and tolex were spotless. Labels seem appropriate and sharp. Easy to look at for sure. The colors and appointments look rich.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
All the knobs were smooth and the inputs were solid. No rattles or pops and relatively quiet. EQ controls a tad small but worked just fine.
