Hohner Piedmont Blues Harmonica Set - 7 Harmonicas with Case

The Hohner Piedmont Blues set presents the beginning harmonica player with an affordable way to sample playing in seven different keys (G, A, Bb, C, D, E, F). Each harmonica has a matte black finish with gold trim and the entire set comes in a zippered case. Packaging includes a cardboard sleeve with printed instructions and a key chart to get you started.

Piedmont Blues or East Coast Blues was born in the American Southeast during the 1900s. Out of its diverse influences arose some of Americas most well known blues harmonica players.

Hohner harmonicas are the proven choice for both amateur and professional musicians for rock, pop, jazz, blues, folk, classical and beyond!
For 150 years Hohner - the world's biggest manufacturer of harmonicas - has proudly maintained a tradition of high quality instrument making. Their mission is to offer a diverse range of models designed to meet the needs of every musician in today's musical climate.

Tireless investment in research and development, combined with knowledge that has been cultivated for decades, insures high quality standards - both now and in the future. By working in close co-operation with the most renowned professional harmonica players, Hohner ensures that their instruments remain on the cutting edge of the industry. Hohner's state-of-the-art manufacturing process uses special alloys and precise stamping and milling tools to produce reeds of optimal sound quality, responsiveness and longevity.

Hohner's long standing dedication to harmonica excellence has inspired a loyal following among players from all walks of life; young and old, amateur and professional.

Subject:The Corvette Stingray of cheap harmonicas
Quality: The material, such as the cover plates (which protect the reed plates inside) are cheap and not very strong. The reeds, however, sound decent. The plastic comb is nice. The case itself is a steal.
Features: The price sets this product apart as one of the few decent-priced harmonicas still available. The variety of keys is great for working out song arrangements in keys other than the key of C. The plastic combs are more comfortable than the wooden combs. Those who use the tongue-block technique (which is absolutely the best method of playing) should understand. The sound is decent, though I do recommend obtaining some higher-end models for gigs, depending on which venues are played. These harmonicas are more than addequate for working out arrangements, experimentaion, jamming and general use (and abuse). When the reeds wear out, these would be ideal for learning how to "tune," modify and customize harmonicas. The case is nice.
Ease of Use: This is as easy to play as the higher-end models.
Value: One of the few great values left. Take it from a man who remembers when when the Blues Harp harmonica could be purchased for less than $4.00!
