| I Love This Guitar!!! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| I have been babying this guitar. But, I have let my nephews play it and it has held up so far. Drop tuning it to drop-D has been a breeze, especially with the onboard tuner. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| So far, so great!!! Have had it since Xmas/2011. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I am a beginner to intermediate player with only a little over a year experience. I've only played electric guitars up until I got this one. First tried this guitar at a shop in Texas when I was looking at getting a Dean, DBZ or Martin guitar. I have a beginner Ibanez (IJX121 Jumpstart...which by the way is a pretty good guitar) and when the salesperson talked me into trying this one, I was pretty much sold on it. Gorgeous instrument, easy to play and sounds fantastic both electric and unplugged. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| It's VERY EASY to play this guitar. I'm still learning so this was very important. Neck is pretty thin, almost like my electric. Very little buzzing. Easy to play clear notes. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| I don't know how to answer this except that the sound is very clear. The high notes sound great, not too bassy (if that's a word). |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| GORGEOUS finish. The main reason I wanted this guitar was because of the look. I didn't want a boring looking acoustic. It's definitely turned heads so far when people see it!!! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The action was perfect for me right out of the box. I like low action like my electric guitars. This is an acoustic, so I did not expect it to be exactly like my electrics. But, it's pretty close. :) |
