Product Description

The Ibanez AF151 Artstar Hollow Body Electric Guitar is an expertly crafted instrument with flamed Maple top, back, and sides that emanate the love of jazz. The bound Ebony fingerboard sports medium frets with edges that are noticeably smooth to a sliding hand, the product of a skilled crimping technique generally found on instruments costing twice as much. The neck construction is set-in, the bridge is made of rosewood, and at the headstock end is a bone nut.

Ibanez loads the AF151 Artstar with a famous Super 58 Custom pickup, known for balanced tone character as well as sonic fullness. Whether restrained to jazz-clean or cranked up to rockin' blues dirty, the Super 58 Custom gets the job done.

Ibanez Artstar
Ibanez calls their new Artstar models, ‘Hollow-bodies of the highest order.’ As the guitar builder for some of the brightest luminaries of modern jazz guitar, Ibanez has paved some middle ground between their upscale signature models and their popular Artcore series.

What is your overall opinion of this product?
Great Jazz Guitar! I bought this guitar as a gift to myself for my 50th year anniversary of playing the guitar. Started playing the day after the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time on 2/9/64.
