    Product Description

The Ibanez Artcore AFJ91 Hollowbody Electric Guitar features a Spruce top with Flamed Maple back and sides, as well as a handsome clean white binding on body, headstock, and fingerboard. Pearl block inlays in the Rosewood fingerboard gives a classic look. Expertly crafted set-in neck construction ensures body liveliness and sustain. The Artcore AFJ91’s 3-piece Maple/Mahogany neck has proven its reliability through the years on numerous Ibanez hollow and semi-hollow models.

The Ibanez AFJ91 Artcore packs a single Super 58 Custom pickup which compliments the guitar’s hollow body design beautifully. This is the preferred pickup of George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield on their own Signature models. While the Super 58 Custom is favored by Jazz guitarist, Eric Krasno, a funk guitarist, has been proving the Super 58 Custom pickups are capable of much more and at home in a variety of genres.

For a decade now, Ibanez has energized the hollow-body segment with a wide range of designs-with everything from rockin' hybrids to traditional jazz-boxes. The Expressionist line begins yet another chapter in the Artcore story. Built with tone woods selected for their beauty as well as their musicality, the Expressionist line covers the wide range of styles for which Ibanez hollow and semi-hollow bodies are known.

What is your opinion of this product?
This guitar is as good if not better than a Gibson. Fit and finish are incredible. You won't believe what you get for the money. Oil the fingerboard right away, and keep this in a good humidity controlled case If you are a jazzer like me, I am always looking for a great guitar that reproduces the classic jazz box sound, and this does it! This came with flat wounds, which I love. No issues with set up out of the box. I also got the Jet Blue color at just 479 dollars! I was hesitant about the color at first, but when I got it, I was floored! Beautiful.

AMS Great! AFJ91 good looking but lacks quality
What is your opinion of this product?
I rate this guitar as a negative number. I own one. After only having it out of the case about a dozen times, I was sitting on the edge of my bed playing a few chords and suddenly the Tailpiece just broke at the hinge and the works just exploded in my hands. The bridge flew across the room and it was destroyed. The tailpiece is covered with a piece of wood but the metal is poor quality cast pot metal. I decided it was not worth the trouble to repair with another factory poor quality tailpiece so I chucked the entire guitar in the dumpster. Stick with fender or Gibson. AMS was very kind but they don't provide the warranty service.
