Ibanez

The Ibanez AG95 Artcore Hollow Body Electric Guitar is a true, full hollow body guitar with a slightly smaller body width than the AF traditional dimensions but the same depth. Features include a gorgeous figured bubinga body with Super 58 pickups and a set in neck. The Super 58 Custom pickups deliver the smooth, nuanced tones and the biting growl of blues.

From Ibanez...
When Ibanez Artcore guitars debuted in summer 2002, they turned the music industry upside down. No longer were full and semi acoustic guitars just big expensive jazz boxes for jazz players—even some of our competitors bought them (no, we're not making this up). With Artcore guitars you get an amazingly affordable price plus the quality and tone you expect from Ibanez, the guitar company with over four decades of experience making full and semi acoustic guitars.

Ibanez AG100C Style Case
To protect and transport your guitar, Ibanez recommends the optional AG100C Style Electric Guitar Case (#IBA AG100C).

A few words about Ibanez…
Without a doubt Ibanez is one of the world’s foremost guitar manufacturers. The Modern Era of Ibanez guitars began in 1957 and since then they have enjoyed incredible success. They continue to experiment with edgy designs and finishes but have never lost track of their roots. Their amazing Artcore line of hollowbodies are some of the most sought after guitars in the world and their RG line is a must-have for rock and metal fans alike. And don’t discount their bass guitars, cherished by musicians the world over. This is a company that can do it all - straight-ahead rock models, elegant hollow bodies and everything in between. They even have a nice line of pedals and accessories that pros and amateurs have grown to love. Find out for yourself why some performers won’t play anything else but Ibanez.

    General
Your general opinion of this product.
I was originally attracted to this guitar for the way it looks. The playability and tone were just bonuses.
    Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I'm very comfortable with the way it's made, and I haven't found any glitches in its dependability.
    Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The strings lay at a perfect (for me) height. It's easy to play either easy-does-it or with speed as it's "neck friendly". It's a light guitar making it easy to handle, and the controls are finger-tip ready.
    Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
On its own, it has decent tone - in comparison to other hollow body guitars I own. The pickups are in the average range and come across as mellow on the low end, and slightly understated on the high end. The treble is not as hot as say, a Telley, but one would easily choose this over a Telley for a smooth and thicker sound. This could easily be a go-to guitar for jazz, ballads, or regular rock and roll.
    Action
How was the action out of the box?
Very nice out of the box action. I lowered it slightly to meet my standards with no loss of tone. The action is now perfect for me.
    Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Excellent stain and paint job, which attracted me in the first place!
    Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Since this is a new purchase, I'm unprepared to comment on its reliability over time. However, it will be well used and time-tested, so I'll award it five stars until proven otherwise.
