What is your overall opinion of this product?
This guitar is so much fun to play, it has sweet acoustic tone but can growl when plugged in to a hot stack. It is just a dream to play.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
This is a very made guitar, it is actually better made and sounds better than my ES339. I've found it can groove with sweet acoustic music but with the right set up can do the hardest of rock. Metal might be a stretch but it does pretty good, just doesn't have that big bass crunch you get with metal, but handles AC/DC and Van Halen with no problem.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It is very light because it is a thin line but don't let that fool you, she is a work horse. The neck is very fast and easy on the fingers. The controls very responsive and can get you just about any tone you're looking for.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
The tonal range on this guitar is what makes it so attractive, very sweet acoustically but roars with a good set up. I can even get her to moan playing Doom.
How did the stain or paint job look?
It is absolutely flawless, no even the slightest blemish. I've had people gasp when I told them the price because she looks, handles and sounds like a guitar much more expensive.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
In my opinion, this a steal you can spend double or triple the amount of money and not get a better side kick.
How was the action out of the box?
Out of the box, with tuning and a little setup she was ready to be played.
