Ibanez ART100 Artist Electric Guitar

The Ibanez ART100 is the single-cutaway Artist Series model that guitar players have been hoping for!
For over 30 years, the classic Artist design has provided a real, high quality alternative to the other famous mahogany double humbucker guitar. ART100 Features include a set-in mahogany neck, a mahogany body, tight-and-trebly Ibanez ACH humbuckers and chrome hardware.

A few words about Ibanez…
Without a doubt Ibanez is one of the world’s foremost guitar manufacturers. The Modern Era of Ibanez guitars began in 1957 and since then they have enjoyed incredible success. They continue to experiment with edgy designs and finishes but have never lost track of their roots. Their amazing Artcore line of hollowbodies are some of the most sought after guitars in the world and their RG line is a must-have for rock and metal fans alike. And don’t discount their bass guitars, cherished by musicians the world over. This is a company that can do it all - straight-ahead rock models, elegant hollow bodies and everything in between. They even have a nice line of pedals and accessories that pros and amateurs have grown to love. Find out for yourself why some performers won’t play anything else but Ibanez.

Subject:I love Ibanez , but this is the worst guitar I have ever owned!!!!
Quality: I have had this for a month and the only reason I still have this guitar is because I lost the box to ship it back
Reliability: From Day 1.....nothing but disappointments ..cant set intonation, My old $100 squire with cheap single coils can smoke the pickups, and that isnt saying much for the Squire....
Overall: I owned a Jem 555 and it was awesome....Now my opinion of Ibanez is shattered
Playability and Feel: neck feels awful...next
Tone: there is no tone at all...I have tried everything possible not wanting to believe this would sound this bad...different amps, different effect, no effects, dfferent headphones for my Recorder....It is inevitable ....Ibanez blew it on this one
Finish: finish is beautiful......
Action: my grandmother could have done a better job setting this up

Subject:Best Overall Value!
Quality: Seems bulletproof, very solid, no loose screws, no stress marks visible.
Sound: Sounds nice, needed a good tune out of the box but can give you crunch and acoustics, just depends on your amp.
Reliability: Haven't had it too long, fine so far
Overall: Great Product for its price point, great finish, very lightweight, nice curves, thin body.
Playability and Feel: Neck is good, not too thin, not too thick. Very light compared to a similarly shaped Gibson, Epiphone, or ESP.
Tone: Dark and smooth, pickups are all around average, put in some duncans or EMGs and it will outplay guitars 3x as expensive.
Finish: Beautiful finish, flawless.
Action: A bit high out of the box for my liking, but that simply adjusted to whatever suits your needs.
Skill Level: Intermediate

Subject:Perfect for the beginner who wants to step it up a notch
Quality: I would consider this guitar well worth the money. A perfect upgrade for a beginner who doesn't have a lot of extra cash to spend and a perfect extra guitar for a seasoned player to have in his or her collection.
Sound: Nice tone. Great Sustain. Sounds very nice clean or with various types of distortion and effects.
Reliability: I haven't had this guitar long enough to comment other than I wouldn't hesitate to preform with it.
Overall: For $300 dollars, you can't go wrong. Remember, though it looks similar to a Les Paul, it is NOT a Les Paul. Do not measure this guitar up to one. It is lighter and thinner front to back than a Les Paul and plays like a strat-styled guitar from Ibanez.
Playability and Feel: Neck feels nice to hands that fit medium-large sized gloves. It plays like a strat neck, feels fast with easy accessibility to the higher frets on the bottom three strings.
Tone: The stock pickups weren't bad a all...not Dimarzio quality but still nice and quiet when not being played. I found enough of a difference between the neck and bridge pickups to get some interesting tones with different guitar effects.
Finish: The Transparent cherry is great. Looks really nice and evenly finished throughout. I like the spartan simplicity of the inlays. Nothing fancy, just straight lines and no inlays on the neck except at the twelfth fret.
Action: The action out of the box wasn't bad. I lowered it a little to my preference, but it's perfectly payable out of the box. Anyone who's been playing long enough knows a new guitar that has been shipped overseas will need a least a little adjustment. Remember its a $300 dollar guitar, not a $1,000+ guitar.
