Ibanez ART420 Artist Electric Guitar

With a classic old school look, the ART420 is a beefier guitar with active LoZ pickups for massive saturation. A tried-and-true mahogany body with an exquisite honey amber finish and the Gibraltar III bridge make this an ultra powerful monster. Additional features such as the bound rosewood fingerboard and the ART set neck make it great for any kind of music. Plus it has a 3-way toggle switch, 2 volume and 1 tone knob.

ART420 Pickups
The active ceramic humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge position provide very high output but low noise.

Subject:Goodbye Les Paul
Quality: Very Well Made. I will but Ibanez products again, and again. I own several and plan to own more.
Sound: Tone had the full range and more the active pickups, Well what can you say? spectacular!!!
Reliability: So far I have had it about a month, no complaints, I have played the daylights out of it
Overall: Unbelievable if uoy try this you will sell your Les. Money is to cheap to be true for the quality you are receiving
Playability and Feel: Guitar is light way lighter then the EPI, or Gibson Les Paul easier to play for long periods. The neck, was great like all the Ibanez necks, controls super, the selector switch was angled perfect for standing up I love htis axe!
Tone: Again the pickups suprised even my high expectations. These pups do everything I want them to and more
Finish: Finish was incredable. the advertisment was not even close to how good this guitar looked. The grain and stain. THE BEST
Action: Action was suberb out of the box, intonation was right on I have no complaints for the Ibanez products I own only praise.

Subject:Beautiful, Les Paul replacement
Quality: AAAA quality. The reason for the 4 rating is the volume and tone knobs. They wobble as they are turned. They do not feel as solid as Les Paul pots.
Reliability: Ony had the guitar for a week but feels very solid. I expect with proper care it will last a lifetime.
Overall: One word ... perfect. The picture does not look as good as the guitar. The wood is richer in color. Ande there is a protective, shiny coating. The picture looks like polished wood. Frets and fingerboard finshered very well. The sound is amazing. Very well bablances and perfect intonation out of the box.
Playability and Feel: The guitar feels very solid but not heavy. Would be easy to play for several hours. Particularly when compared to a Les Paul which is about 8 to 10 lbs heavier. The neck is perfect. This without being too thin like the Wizard neck fells to me. This feels like my 82 Les Paul Custom.
Tone: Very rich and well balacned tone. Very rich in harmonics on clean and with gain. The clean sounf compared with the best out there. And with amp setting from Start like shimmer to hollow body depth and richness.
Finish: Perfect. Not a flaw anywhere. The finish on the guitar looks like glass. Frets and neck are very nice. Except black gets on my fingers after playing. I thought the strings were oxidized from shipping. However, after installing a new set of strings still get black fingers. Guess it will stop soon.
Action: Was very nice out of the box. Some players may even raise the action a little. I like the action low. So I lowered the bridge a bit. The action is the best out there. You really couldn't epect anything lower than this guitar has to offer. I changed the strings it was shipped with (10's) for (009's). With the 24.75" scale it is very easy to play. I had to chack with a second tuner as the strings felt a little loose. Also, this guitar stays in tune very well.
