From Ibanez...
When Ibanez Artcore guitars debuted in summer 2002, they turned the music industry upside down. No longer were full and semi acoustic guitars just big expensive jazz boxes for jazz players—even some of our competitors bought them (no, we're not making this up). With Artcore guitars you get an amazingly affordable price plus the quality and tone you expect from Ibanez, the guitar company with over four decades of experience making full and semi acoustic guitars.

Ibanez AS100C Style Case
To protect and transport your guitar, Ibanez recommends the optional AS100C Style Electric Guitar Case (#IBA AS100C).

A few words about Ibanez…
Without a doubt Ibanez is one of the world’s foremost guitar manufacturers. The Modern Era of Ibanez guitars began in 1957 and since then they have enjoyed incredible success. They continue to experiment with edgy designs and finishes but have never lost track of their roots. Their amazing Artcore line of hollowbodies are some of the most sought after guitars in the world and their RG line is a must-have for rock and metal fans alike. And don’t discount their bass guitars, cherished by musicians the world over. This is a company that can do it all - straight-ahead rock models, elegant hollow bodies and everything in between. They even have a nice line of pedals and accessories that pros and amateurs have grown to love. Find out for yourself why some performers won’t play anything else but Ibanez.

What is your overall opinion of this product?
I have owned many and played many more semi hollow bodied guitars over the last 23 years. This particular guitar stands out amongst the best of them. I am not going to say that it is the absolute best. However, it is well worth more than one costs. It has a comfortable weight and balance, and the fit and finish on the one I received is spectacular. The neck is slightly thicker than the 60s shaped Gibson necks which makes it very comfortable to play. The upper register is easy to get at. It has incredible sustain and the quality of the Super 58s in it are a sonic joy. The Super 58s have become my favorite pickup in a semi hollow so far. Not to knock Gibson or other pickups but the Super 58 seems to my ear to have a creamier sound that is spot on for jazz, blues and fusion. It will handle high gain just fine as well. These are not high output pickups so they do not have the trebly harshness that overwound PAFs normally have. Great guitar for the money spent!
