Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Excellent quality, the best I've found for my particular musical application.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Would you rather spend a dollar a pick for the Vai model and have it for weeks, months, years? Or buy a cheaper one that wears out much faster, without the grip no less? This is the best value per $ spent.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This is the best pick I've ever found. I am in a power punk/alt band so we have to play with much speed and percussive down picking. My Jazz III's were just too small and my fingers were getting shredded. I went back to Fender Mediums but literally I'd go through 5-10 picks a gig--they'd either break or wear down after a few songs. So I went on a quest. I ordered so many different picks--you name it, I tried it--and this is the only one that was 1)large enough 2)had a completely dependable grip even when you're sweating on stage and 3)it never wears down or breaks! My bassist uses the same picks now and we only need one a night.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Great feel! Literally it just feels great in your hand, solid, another instrument in your sound.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
