Ibanez EW20ZWE Exotic Zebra Wood Acoustic Electric Guitar

The Ibanez EW20ZWE combines beauty and incredible acoustic tone.
Sound and playability are the two most important components in an instrument. But very few will deny that a standout visual aspect enhances your performance. The appearance and sound of the unique Exotic Wood Series were designed for the player who is looking for a completely new and different voice. You won't find anything else quite like the EW guitars even among guitars that are much more expensive.

A few words about Ibanez…
Without a doubt Ibanez is one of the world’s formemost guitar manufacturers. The Modern Era of Ibanez guitars began in 1957 and since then they have enjoyed incredible success. They continue to experiment with edgy designs and finishes but have never lost track of their roots. Their amazing Artcore line of hollowbodies are some of the most sought after guitars in the world and their RG line is a must-have for rock and metal fans alike. And don’t discount their bass guitars, cherished by musicians the world over. This is a company that can do it all - straight-ahead rock models, elegant hollow bodies and everything in between. They even have a nice line of pedals and accessories that pros and amateurs have grown to love. Find out for yourself why some performers won’t play anything else but Ibanez.

Subject:This is the one!
Quality: This guitar is amazingly well built. I have never had to do anything to it beyond changing the strings (DAddario Coated EXP15's are absolutely great with this guitar). In almost a year-and-a-half, I've changed the batteries once. I use four guitars with my band (2 Teles, a Strat and this one). This is the one I never worry about.
Reliability: The reliability of this instrument has never wavered. It's rock-solid.
Overall: I would take this guitar into a shoot-out against any Martin D-28 any day of the week!
Playability and Feel: I actually used a digital caliper to measure the neck thicknesses of this and my three Fender electrics. This one has the slimmest neck of the bunch. The action is so smooth and easy, it's the best playing guitar I have.
Tone: The range of tones this thing gets is amazing. I have recorded "Little Martha" and gotten it to sound like a tri-cone resonator. Recording "Tears In Heaven", I can make it sound like a Martin. With 3-band EQ plus a notch filter and phase switch, you can get any tone you want. It doesn't matter if I play it through an amp or directly through the PA, it sounds great every time.
Finish: The look of this guitar is jaw-dropping. I constantly get comments on the appearance of this guitar.
Action: The action is the best I have ever played (over a 50-year period). It stays in a stand next to the recliner in my den because I can't keep in out of my hands. There's no fatigue when I play it like with my other guitars.

Subject:Great buy, graet tone
Quality: I've own 3 Ibanez products and they stand best in quality. This guitar is well built top notch you'll expect form an Ibanez.
Reliability: Bought this guitar last year here at AMS, and I can can tell after 14months of playing, this guitar is very reliable. Never had a probelm with it. Plays good both plugged and unplugged.
Overall: I think this is one of the best exotic woods series you can get. I'm sure other exotic models will do the same.
Playability and Feel: When I got it in the mail, the action feels great to me. Thought this is a full size body, it plays comfortably. The Fast neck action play feels great. I like the recese knobs located on the side, faceing towards you, plus the built in tuner is a plus.
Tone: Tone overal is great. It plays clean and warm when unplugged. Sound when plugged in an amp sounds very clean and natural, not metalic like most other acoustic electric guitar I'ved tried.
Finish: Finish looks great, natural zebra color look which is unique.
Action: Just as I staed earlier, the action of the neck is great just out of the box. One thing i like is the strings it came with (exlirs). Though after one year of wearing them out, just put on some new strings and the actions feels the same as I bought it a year ago.
