Not as great as I hoped?
What is your overall opinion of this product?
This is not a bad guitar, but at this price point I expected a little better quality control from Ibanez. First of all, the frets were extremely sharp so I had to file down and dress most of them. The action was also extremely low, which required me to adjust the truss rod and saddle. The neck is also a bit thinner that most other classical guitars, but it's not bad. I bought this as a replacement for my Yamaha C40, yet I feel the Yamaha is a much better guitar for $100 less & with a laminate top! Overall I think spending an extra $50 for the Cordoba C5 is a much better option than purchasing this model of Ibanez unless you don't mind putting in some extra work to make this guitar playable. You might also consider a Yamaha CG102, which is $30 less than the Ibanez, and comes with a solid top.
