| Good deal for a starter acoustic. |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| Quality is decent, the neck feel solid, it stays in tune pretty good. Mine had a few small imperfections in the finish, but not that bad really. The frets were horrible at first however. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Seems decently reliable for a cheaper acoustic. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I like this guitar, but I have a couple gripes with it.
#1 - the frets were not really all that smooth, they made alot of noise when bending or sliding from fret to fret. I ended up taking all the strings off, taping off the frets, and sanding them til they were smooth, this fixed the fret issue. But shouldn't really have been a problem in the first place. #2 as I stated already, there were some blemishes in the finish of mine. I bought it brand new, not a scratch and dent. All in all for the price, it's still a good deal. But for those with little or no experience I imagine would frustrate them. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| After fixing the fret issue myself, the guitar tremendously improved as far as playability. The action is almost perfect. The guitar isn't hard to play. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| I would say it is bright sounding, I thought it would have more bass seeing that the guitar is a fatter concert model. But the bass response is a little limp. I improved the bass a little by installing a Planet waves O-Port. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| For the most part the finish looks fine, but had a few small imperfections here and there. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The action is fine now, especially after I sanded down the frets til they were smooth. But to be honest, I shouldn't have had to do that to begin with. |
