Quality: feels very well made, as I just got it, I cannot comment on longevity, but it feels well put together and dependable.. special thanks to AMS on such speedy and quality delivery as well - as stated, it's the first time I bought something like an axe online, so I was a little anxious - AMS is brilliant, very easy website to navigate and great shipping, I cannot comment on their customer service because everything arrived in perfect condition!!
Features: what's nice is that the beginner gets everything they need out of the box.. the bass and headphones are awesome, the amp is exactly what it should be, a practice amp - nothing fancy, but still reliable.. even the padded bag seems a lot better than other reviews led me to expect.. so many others commented on the cable and strap being garbage that I ordered a new cable and strap when I ordered the package anyway, so I cannot even comment on those.. the bass is simple, but that's what I wanted.. and if I ever get really good on it, I could always upgrade the p/ups to something with more oomph! and buy a more powerful amp..
Sound: it sounds just like a bass, that's a good thing, right?
Playability and Feel: Feels good.. not too heavy, but not insubstantial either.. I toyed with picking up the short scale package as I'm really a guitar player first and foremost. I still need to get used to the length.. the fact my pinkie finger only reaches the 3rd fret has me worried that perhaps I should have gone with the mikro package after all.. :-/
Tone: the two p/ups are able to give quite a variety of tones from deep and "chocolatey" up to a lighter brighter tone.. I'm happy with the variety of sound from two basic p/ups.. combination of P and J makes this a very versatile bass..
Finish: I went over it with a fine toothed comb - this is the first time I have bought a guitar online, so I was expecting some imperfections or something - there were none, the bass is in perfect condition! I love the black hardware on the camo paint-job too, very distinctive looking bass..
Action: I still need to tweak the action to my liking, but the bass arrived playable and ready to roll.. if anything the action is a little high, but that is very fixable..
