DiMarzio IBZ Pickups
IBZ pickups are made by DiMarzio in the United States exclusively for Ibanez guitars. Harmonically alive with medium high output, DiMarzio IBZ's were made specifically for hard and heavy rock guitar styles.

Ibanez RG1570 Features
  • Basswood Body: Basswood is a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character.
  • 24 Jumbo Frets: Jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording.
  • Rosewood Fingerboard: Rosewood offers a strong, bright sound and an attractive appearance with a long grain.

Oozes quality!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Quality is the first thing that hits you when you pick one of these up. The neck is smooth and consistant, the frets are very well dressed, even the knobs on mine have a solid rubber grip that hides the set screw. The edge zero bridge is outstanding and pulls back farther than you need making tremolo tricks even more fun.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
After 2 weeks with this one I can't comment, but every Ibanez I've owned has been rock solid.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
After owning a total of 24 guitars in the last 5 years, this is the best one yet. After my very good experience with my RGT42DXFM I didn't think anything could top it. I've paid much more for Gibsons and American Fenders but the Ibanez was the better guitar. I wanted a similar guitar for a different tuning so I got this one. It is now my main axe. I didn't think my neck-thru could be topped but is was. This guitar feels so smooth in your hands, it's hard to believe it's new.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This is a very fast guitar. It almost feels lubed. It's also reasonably light.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I'm pretty happy with the tonal range the 5-way selector gives me. I can do really bluesy stuff and screaming metal with great response. I might change the bridge pickup but I might not.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I got the Liquid Metal Red and it is stellar. I like the flat finishes and this one looks killer.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action on delivery only needed minor adjustment to taste. Action is subjective to personal taste anyway and any devout guitar player should know how to set it accordingly. I did not have to adjust the truss rod so that was a plus.
