Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Good stuff, see above.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I haven't even had it a month yet, but Ibanez is the one brand I keep going back to. They have the highest quality to price ratio bar none.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I was not looking for another 6 string when I went to my local store and picked up the 2010 version of this guitar. I was completely blown away, something just felt extremely natural and comfortable before I even jacked it in. Now with the new model, it looks even better (beveled horns, cleaner fretboard)and sounds better too.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Awesome. Super light, like most of the RG/RGA series it feels like the guitar equivalent of a katana. I would have to say that the contoured top and beveled horns make it extra awesome though.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
EMG classic series (non-X), you either like them or you don't. If you don't, it's worth the guitar itself to swap them out.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautiful. There was one or two tiny pinpricks in the finish but I'll probably just have my luthier buff them out. Easy to overlook for a guitar like this with this price tag.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Smooth. I actually prefer Ibanez' standards for the action I use on all my guitars (2mm on the bass side and 1.5mm on the treble). All I'm likely going to do is intonate and add relief (to counteract any buzzing from the low tuning and moderately light string gauge).
