Ibanez RGD320 Long Scale Electric Guitar

The Deepest and Heaviest Metal Guitar On the Planet!
Ibanez continues to rock the hardest, bring heavy chunk to your next practice. The RGD long scale guitars are factory tuned one whole step down from your average six-string and plays incredibly thanks to the fast Wizard II neck. These sleek metal monster guitars are tuned down low and built to reach the highest realms of metal fury.

Ibanez RGD320 Features
  • Wizard II 3 piece maple neck
  • Extra-long 26.5 inch neck scale
  • Extra-deep scoop cuts on lower horn for high fret access
  • Edge III bridge/tremolo for stability
  • VK Down Tunz pickups output full and deep low-end and more
  • Full-step down factory tuning
  • D-G-C-F-A-D (6th to 1st strings)
  • All-purpose maintenance tool included
As a pioneer of heavy rock guitars, Ibanez has released 7- and 8-string models in the past. This year Ibanez goes beyond that with the release the RGD, Ibanez’s new heavy metal machine. The RGD is built for heavy rocking, and for outputting clear sound down to the lowest note without losing playability. RGD models feature extra-long 26.5 inch Prestige Wizard HP necks and full-step down factory tuning. Original VK Down Tunz pickups are mounted and ready to ride. A lot of hard rockers hold their guitars low, and the sharp-shaped RGD body achieves good balance and easier access to high frets for low-slingers.

Edge III Tremolo
The Edge III bridge/tremolo design provides even more stability and strength under the most demanding playing conditions.

VK Pickups
RGD320's feature VK Down Tunz pickups for faster, easier and truer down tuning. VK1-DT(at neck position), and VK2-DT(at bridge position).

Long Scale
A 26.5 inch extra long scale neck, with factory-set whole step down tuning (1D, 2A, 3F, 4C, 5G, 6D).

Ibanez M100C Style Case
To protect and transport your guitar, Ibanez recommends the optional M100C Style Electric Guitar Case (#IBA M100C).

Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Love this guitar. Just wish it came with emg's or blackouts.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Plays fast, neck is slim and controls are tight.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
muddy lows. not enough output on the pickups.

Love the paint job on this thing. Looks awesome.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Okay, but I still needed to put some heavier strings on.
