| very well made, cant believe the quality of craftsmanship for the price paid. I own a couple of what I once considered high end basses but now Ibanez has mead me re-think my definition of high end or money wasted on a name. solid build, 5 pice neck, great neck pocket, nothing cheap used in the build materials or hardware. | features Gotoh tuners, mono rail bridge system, Nordstrand big singles, EQB III eq, mid shifter, eq bypass, 5 peice wenge/bubinga neck with KTS Titainum rods, mahogony body and ovangkol top whats not to like!!!! only one complaint "BATTERY BOX" it does not have a dedicated battery box you have to remove the rear cover to replace the battery, however the screws are accompanied be brass inserts to keep them from striping out, i guess I'll get over it. so much bass for a grand, have been a P bass player for a long time (19 years), can't believe that I'm this in love with an Ibanez, guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!!! |

| saving up to get a second as a back up, got a couple so called Boutique axes for sale now to make it happen!! One the the most complete basses Ive ever played, anything from funk to smooth jazz (I dont do a lot of) to good ole' fashion toe tapping rock and roll and every thing in between or to the extremes, this bass will cover it, look no more, just be prepared to be disappionted in yourself for not considering Ibanez eariler! |

| Great finish. I might end up filing the fret edges down more but they are rounded edges so it's not a problem, I'm just being picky. Everything else is literally comparable to custom/boutique quality. (I've played/owned G&L, Fender, Musicman, Gibson, Zon, Lakland, Sadowsky, Modulus, and on and on. |

| I've avoided Ibanez for years because I've always preferred single coils and passive instruments. I finally bought an SR600 a couple years ago because it felt so great, with the intention of making some mods...never got around to it and then Ibanez dropped the premium series. The Nord Big Singles simply kill anything else on the market. |
