Introducing the Ibanez SRA500 Electric Bass Guitar, the newest, affordable addition to the SR line. Ibanez forged the Slim & Fast of the SR with the Heavy Bottom of the SRX and got a new monster. The EMG HZ pickups are onboard, for smoother attack and a flatter high end. From classic rock to heavy metal, these pickups perform. The 500 series features beautiful quilted maple tops, with EQB-3C 3-band EQ. SRAs are the perfect answer for players who want heavy sound without the heavy price.

I love having the 3 band EQ. This is the first bass ive owned that has one and i dont think i could go back to a 2 band eq after playing it. Another nice thing is the tuners. In the year ive had it it has came out of tune by itself maybe two or three times.
Sound
How is its Tone?
You can get just about any tone you want out of it with the 3 band eq and balance knob. I play a lot of modern metal and this bass sounds PERFECT for it. The EMGs sound just like any other emgs, amazing.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Very thin neck and probably the fastest I've ever played on but its an Ibanez so a smooth neck can be expected. Its veeeeery light and well balanced so it doesnt mess with your shoulder if you stand and play for an hour.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?

This Bass feels good..Its light and thin .With a few tweeks the neck is fast and easy to play.perfect for small hands.
