The TS808 reissue features the same famous large square footswitch and the even more famous warm tones of the JRC4558 chip used in most of the original TS808's. For players who feel their tone is suffering from a lack of real warmth, the TS808 is the REAL prescription. According to Ibanez each JRC4558 chip is tested and only those meeting the optimum performance standards are selected for use in the TS808 Tube Screamer Reissue. Sound: Very TS like. A little bright and mid hump compared to TS808HW. As expected TS tone overall. Reliability: Should last long. Overall: There are a lot of TS pedals out there, and many other pedals have their own TS tone, but it sounds very creamy to me. Playability and Feel: N/A. Tone: Tone wise, it is TS. Never compared to the vintage Holy Grail though. Also, I would not modify this pedal. It is good enough stock. Finish: Brighter green.
