With its super warm, natural overdrive tone, the original TS9 is the most sought-after distortion pedal in the guitar-playing world. Billed as "the re-issue that isn't", the new TS9 Tube Screamer is being built in the same factory, using the same components as the hard-to-find, original TS9. It's the favorite for guitarists who play anything from Grunge to Bluesy Rock to Metal and the hard stuff. Original TS9s are selling for ridiculous prices - up to $200 or $300 - but now through AMS you can have the same thing for the right price!
The TS9 reissue features the same careful hand wiring and analog circuitry as the original classic. Like almost all of the original TS9's, our reissue features the TA75558 IC chip. The TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer features the slightly warmer JRC4558D IC found in most of the old TS808 Tube Screamers and also offers three new settings for increased low end crunch: +, Hot, and Turbo.

| The build quality is very good with two minor flaws.
You really have to step on the pedal to make the switch engage.
It works very well, you just have to be deliberate when turning it on and off.
The other drawback, the LED is under powered, you have to look straight
down into the "bulb" to see that it is lit. Not a huge issue as you normally
can hear that it's on or off. |

| Ibanez has a knack for making ugly pedals. The TS9 is not much to look at, but
it sounds so good! It gives you a wide range of over drive, from blues to heavy,
it's got a sweet quality that set's it head a shoulders above other OD pedals. |
