Has to be the best guitar in this price range
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The guitar is very well made. The grey sunburst finish looks amazing. The Wizard 2 neck feels great
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I cant comment to much here at this time. I've only have a dozen or so practices on it and 2 shows. However, so far so good. I haven't broke a string, I am rather hard on strings.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Personally I think this guitar is great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The action out of the box was really good. I haven't felt the need to adjust anything yet. The guitar is surprisingly light. Just from the look of it I assumed it would be on the heavier side. The Wizard neck has a great feel. It is kind of difficult to play sitting down. Balance wise it is very good but the point of the guitar is always in the way if you are on a couch or a bed or something like that. I imagine a stool with nothing in the way would be fine.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The CAP pickups are quite hot. I was quite surprised by the low end they produce. I feel they are a little "light" on the highs. Perhaps adding a tone controll would brighten the highs a bi. Rolling the volume back a bit you can get a really nice shimmering clean tone from the bridge pickup and a very warm tone from the neck pick up.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The paint on mine was amazing. I never pictured myself with a grey sunburst guitar but this thing is gorgeous
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Straight out of box the setup was great. Very easy to play. The action is nice and low with no buzzing.
