While software synth oscillators are OK, they never seem to have quite the same power as a real analog synth. With Trilogy, producer Eric Persing sampled the greatest vintage Bass synths (including Minimoogs™, Taurus pedals, Arp™ 2600, Korg Monopoly™, Virus™ Indigo, Roland™ Super Jupiter™, SH-101, Juno 60, TB-303, Pro-1, Prophet VS™ and many others) at high resolution, preserving all the subtle overdrive colorations and fundamentals that make them unique. Trilogy’s powerful multimode resonant Filters were then tweaked for maximum fatness. Unique evolving drones and subsonic samples were also created with state of the art software as elements to enhance the character of the vintage synths.
Trilogy™ has the rare feature of Legato Minimoog™ style triggering and Glide that no other samplers have. This makes all the difference in having amazing Bass sounds that really feel like playing a vintage analog synth.
Brand new recording sessions with top LA bassists provide the huge collection of multisampled Electric and Acoustic Basses within Trilogy. Detailed articulations like glisses, hammer-ons, harmonics, staccatos, trills, x-notes, noises and slides are included, as well as a wide variety of playing styles -- Fingered, Picked, Muted, Rock & Roll, Slapping, Ballad, Fretless, Jazz, R&B and much more.
The real power of Trilogy lies within its layering concept. In addition to the core library of a thousand Basses, every patch in Trilogy has two layers that you can tweak individually. You can also immediately mix and match any of the layers in the core library together, and edit each one independently. Imagine the power of combining a Minimoog™ with a Fretless bass, or a Virus™ with a TB-303™, or giving an Acoustic Bass a sub oscillator! There are over a million earthshaking combinations, and you’ll never run out of options.
Each layer has its own Multimode resonant filters, dual LFOs, three envelopes and Matrix modulation. Also, there is an additional Master Filter for quick tone shaping. The possibilities for creative manipulation are phenomenal… and yet, so easy to use.
