Subject:Tape2PC is a good unit for the money
Quality: The unit is as good as any consumer product I have come across in recent years, which is not necessarily a compliment, but it works so far, so I am happy with it.
Features: Of course its main feature is the direct hookup to a USB computer for direct recording. I also like the fact that it has tape to tape dubbing capabilities and both line in and out jacks, although I am a little surprised it doesn't have a headphone jack. I would also prefer to have the gain level knob located in the front of the unit.
Ease of Use: The only problem I encountered was with the "EZ Tape Converter" software, which would not work with a later version of iTunes I already have on my computer, but I'm not too upset about since I really like using the "Audacity" software more, since it allows me to edit and add effects to the sound files after recording.
Sound: The sound recorded onto the computer are actually very consistant to what the cassette should sound like. My only complaint is with Audacity's Noise Reduction, which adds some really wierd digital sounding artifacts to the recording, making it unusable. I use the EQ effect instead to removed the offending frequencie as much as possible.

Quality: This deck is definitely well made. Its sturdy and has a great look aout it.
Features: I like being able to transfer all of my old mix-tapes directly into my music file. This deck also gives you the option for playback through an external source to either mix, edit, or simply, record your vintage material directly to another format.
Ease of Use: The manual is ver helpful in explaining its uses and capabilities. The software is easy to load and has a choice of options. It didn't take me long to learn how to use it. I'm sure I will definitely get great use out of this deck.
Sound: Being a DJ who is big on Tone for my decks back in the day, I can definitely say that this deck puts it out nicely.
