ISP Technologies Decimator G String Noise Reduction Pedal

The ISP Technologies Decimator G String Noise Reduction Pedal delivers the performance of the Decimator Pro Rack G in a compact pedal.
The Decimator G String provides a totally independent channel of Decimator noise reduction that can be inserted into a series effects loop or after a preamp section with the advantage of having the Decimator level detectors track the guitar signal directly. With the G String pedal you can set the threshold and no matter what level of noise the Decimator will track perfectly without any side effects. And the amazing thing is that you can switch from high gain to your clean channel and never have to switch the Decimator G String off due to the threshold being set too high.

Decimator G String Hookup Diagram
It’s simply transparent. As can be seen in the diagram, the G String noise reduction pedal has an input to connect a guitar directly and a buffered output signal to feed the front of a guitar rig directly while providing a separate audio channel of Decimator that can be inserted in the signal chain of any guitar rig. You can insert any other pedals between the output of the Decimator G String and the input of your guitar amplifier. This allows the Decimator G String pedal to remove any level of noise you may have even with overdrive pedals at the front end of the amp.

Subject:High Gain Amp? Get it!
Quality: Yes, but the in and out configuration is a little awkward for my set up, but no big deal really, find a way to make it work.
Sound: Doesn't color your tone, way better than the Boss Noise Gate (which does color tone) and the built in noise gate on my ME 70 (more control than the ME 70 offers since you cannot easily turn the ME 70 gate off while playing).
Reliability: Only been a couple of weeks, no problems yet. Built like any other quality pedal so there shouldn't be any problems.
Overall: It's chrome and shiny, who cares, you're the only one looking at it. I use a Peavey 3120 and 5150 cab, Boss ME 70, CryBaby Wah, One Spot daisy chain power, and now a Decimator G String. It's simple to use, turn the knob until your amp is quite. Need some feedback or a little more sustain on a note, turn it off, it's a pedel, just step on it. Adjust it right and you can find a nice balance of quite amp operation and still get feedback. One set of in's-out's goes from your guitar to the amp (wah and or whammy pedal should be here also) one goes to the effects loop. They have a rackmount version if you have the money, I went with the cheaper pedal. If you're running single pedals to your amp input, the cheaper Decimator will work fine for you. (Note, you have to use it in front of the amp to get it to work with the effects loop also). Tip. Want quiter effects loops, turn up the Send and turn down the Return, slap a Decimator in the mix and your ninja quite until you hit the strings.
Playability and Feel: Heavy, like it's made out of metal, because it is.
Tone: No change.
Finish: Like it's supposed too.
Action: Push, it's on, simple.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
