Jackson Guitars
A Jackson guitar is meant to be played, and played hard. Each of their endorsers and players choose Jackson because they know Jackson builds their instruments just how they want them. Jackson's instruments are built to handle hard lives on the road, and are ready to take whatever players will throw at them, that's the just the way it is, and Jackson won't have it any other way.

| The best American made guitar on the market |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The guitar is unbelievable in every way shape and form. U.S.A Jackson guitars are always this way though. The most reliable and dependable instruments you can buy. If you're a serious player then this or any other U.S.A Jackson is for you. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I have never had a problem with any of mine and I own four of them. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| There are a few things that are printed wrong on the A.M.S website. First of all this guitar DOES NOT have jumbo frets. All U.S.A KV2 guitars come with medium frets unless you order from the custom shop. The KV2 also is the last Jackson to come with the "SPEEDNECK" PROFILE. It's also a compound radius neck which makes soloing super easy. It also has a LIFETIME WARRANTY from Jackson as long as you're the original owner it's covered for LIFE! All in all I love these guitars more than any other. I have played and owned many more expensive guitars from Gibson,Ibanez and ESP and none of them can come close in looks, sound, playability, quality, and most importantly tone. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The axe feels great in every way not too light and not too heavy. The neck feels like God himself shaped it. The finishing job on the frets is the best I have ever seen. The piece of ebony they used on the fretboard is the darkest and tightest grained I have ever seen on any guitar. The quality of the wood is no surprise to me though because Mike Shannon the Master Luthier at Jackson rejects almost ninety percent of the wood that's used on the most expensive Fender guitars. That means your two thousand dollar strat is built from wood that isn't good enough to build a Jackson. Sorry Fender guys!!! : ) |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| The tone of the instrument is incredible. It has more sustain than you can possibly imagine. You can play anything on this guitar if you adjust the amplifier properly. It can go from super hard metal to jazz to blues to fusion to anything. Super versatile guitar! |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The paint job is incredible! Most people don't know this but Jackson paints all of their U.S.A Models with car paint!!! This is why on your care tag it says to clean the guitar with automotive wax "non abrasive obviously." If you take care of this guitar the finish will last forever and always be gorgeous! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The standard action and set up on the U.S.A SELECT models is 0.5 millimeter. Every time i purchased a new KV2 i always measured the action and EVERY TIME it was a perfect 0.5 millimeter. |
