Jackson Guitars
A Jackson guitar is meant to be played, and played hard. Each of our endorsers and players choose Jackson because they know we build our instruments just how they want them. Our instruments are built to handle hard lives on the road, and are ready to take whatever our players will throw at them -- that's the just the way it is, and we won't have it any other way.

Subject:Amazing little guitar!!!
Quality: this guitar was very pro quality. get one and youll see.
Sound: It sounds alright but the pickups put out to much distotion. its not terrible but i just like a more controlable sound. i installed EMG's in it and it made it sound brutal.
Reliability: Its very reliable. ive had it for almost two and a half years and its stood the test of time. its been droped and chipped a few times so the onlyway you can really dammage it is if you hit it really hard. other than that its a tank.
Overall: This guitar is brutal for the price. it looks awsome and sounds awsome. i got it at a XXXX in corpus cristie and fell in love with it on the spot.
Playability and Feel: the neck is easy to move around on, and the controls were easily accesible. the sound with the jackson pickups sounded reall distortiony, it pushed the distortion way to hard, but with EMG's it sounds very chunky and gainy.
Tone: the pickups were ok they just pushed the distortion way to hard, it made it sound flat, thin, and gritty but it wasnt to bad.
Finish: the paint job looks professional as all guitars do.
Action: it sounded amazing right out of the box. AMAZING!!! it took me a while to hear what i didnt like about the pickups tho. it pushes to much distortion but its still a great guitar.

Subject:true review from a true owner
Quality: I've had this guitar since 2005, and it's held up exactly like a jackson guitar should. The crv-2 humbuckers are kind of XXXX, but i switched mine out for an emg 81/85 combo. For about $300 for the guitar and $200 for new pickups, you can't beat it.
Reliability: i believe that i need to get another set of tuners. These aren't bad, but i hate playing out of tune. You also have to get the truss rod adjusted about twice a year, but i can't complain. Definetly a low maitenance guitar.
Overall: xxxxing METAL (when you get new pickups)
Playability and Feel: To be honest, it's somewhat unbalanced. I like it though because thats the way i play.
Tone: the crv-2 pickups didn't really have the crunchy, in your face, XXXX you tone that i wanted. i liked the clean tones you could get out of the neck pickup, but i didnt have that hot lead tone. The tone with the crv-2s is good for rythm and styles ranging from blues to black metal, but the emg 81/85 actives are much better in my book.
Finish: i got it at a music store in kanawha city, wv, so it wasnt right out of the box. XXXX, if you can see yourself in it, you know it;s good.
Action: I didnt really like the setup it had before hand, but his is a very versatile guitar. I lowered mine and now i can play lightning fast leads without string buzz or dead frets.

Subject:What a deal!
Quality: For the money, you really cannot find a better deal. The bolt on neck is fast, smooth and comfortable. It stays in tune well, it's easy to reach the frets closest to the neck because of the shape. However, it's hard to play sitting down because of the shape- so play standing up and rock out!
Reliability: I've only had it for 4 days.. but so far it has held up great!
Overall: I highly recommend this guitar for beginners and intermediates over the more expensive model with the floyd rose tremolo. It's easier to tune and still sounds great although the more expensive models obviously sound better because of the higher quality pickups.
Playability and Feel: The 22 frets and smooth fretboard allow for fast soloing, but the pickups works for any sound, including clean. This is a very versatile instrument, despite it's hardcore shape, it can be played effectively for a variety of styles.
Tone: Not as crunchy as I thought, which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5. But seriously, you cannot complain at this price, especially since it sounds so good distorted and clean.
Finish: I got this guitar at a discount ($210) because of a "scratch and dent" imperfection, but when I opened the box I didn't see a single blemish. My friends and I are unable to find a single thing wrong with it. So, needless to say,m the finish exceeded my expectations.
Action: Great, although it came with extra thin strings.
