Made for more than Metal!
What is your overall opinion of this product?
This is a great guitar! First let me say that I don't play Metal or Rock.I am a Jazz Fusion player and this Jackson fits the bill quite nicely. The combination of the speed neck and EMGs give out great tone and definition. I didnt want an axe designed in the 50s, I wanted something for today and today's music and Jackson made it happen.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
Better than average quality for an import and great quality for the price.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I cant put it down!
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
The tone can be whatever you can imagine. From bright and twangy to dark and moanful.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Has a small spot on the bottom of the neck but no biggie, it doesn’t change the feel at all.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
After a lot of comparing I fell I got more than my money's worth of guitar.
How was the action out of the box?
Needed a set up to accommodate my style but what guitar doesn’t? It plays like a dream and sounds like the notes I hear in my head.
