| JBL claim it's a reference monitor. I have had them for a week now so I've had not enough time to test them, therefore, I'm still not convinced if they are good enough for mastering.
but if you consider flat and "not easy to ear" sound as a characteristic for reference monitors, these JBLs definitively have this signature.
In conclusion, these Control 2Ps sound BIG, flat & fair. |

| Well thought out. Can connect to most anything you got. Volume control,3-way tweeter switch[flat or +/- 2db]. |

| Very good overall. Slightly toppy to my taste but you can adjust the tweeter. Don't expect more bass than a 5" woofer can provide,although it does have decent bass response. |

| Yet to be seen. I only have about 200 or so hours on them so far. JBL products seem to have a good rep. so I'm optimistic. |

| I have no regrets. Improvements for me would include a mic stand adapter and get rid of the spring clip extention speaker hookup. Go to 1/4". Maybe more power with the aformentioned upgrades would be a nice portable near-field live monitor. Hope JBL is listening!! |
