JBL JRX112M Stage Monitor

The JBL JRX112M was designed from the ground up as a stage monitor.
It's a 250-watt (program, 1,000W peak) 12-inch two-way stage monitor in a compact enclosure also featuring the dual-angle pole socket. Voiced to perfection, it cuts through to allow performers to hear everything they need for a pro performance. Dimensions: 22.5 x 15.5 x 12.5 inches, 43 lbs.

JBL designed the popular JRX100 series for cost-conscious musicians, DJs and other users of live sound reinforcement speakers. All full-range models feature Neutrik Speakon and 1/4 inch input connectors. JRX100 cabinets are constructed of carpet-covered, 3/4 inch MDF - a material that is structurally and acoustically superior to the particleboard that is used by many competitive products.

To minimize distortion, heavy gauge wire is used for inductors and SonicGuard high-frequency driver protection guards against damage caused by inadvertent overpowering of the system. The JRX115 and JRX112M's innovative, new dual-angle pole socket allows them to be mounted in either a conventional, vertical position, or with a 10 degree down angle. By aiming the speaker down, you get more even audience coverage and reduce the destructive acoustic reflections from walls.

JBL constructs the JRX enclosures with advanced adhesives and closely mechanically spaced fasteners, not just glue. They use non-resonant, all metal handles, and an 18-gauge, full metal grille. All JRX100 models have passed the same 100-hour, full rated-power torture test that JBL high-end touring systems must survive.

QUALITY:
very well made except the fuzzy finish scuffs off easily.

FEATURES:
The choice of TRS and Speakon connections comes in real handy. I think I would have added rubber feet to the angled sides for protection and non-skid performance.

EASE OF USE:
Very simple to use. Didn't even use the manual. Just plugged them in and they played away.

VALUE:
I think these are a tremendous value for the money. I even used them as mains on one occasion.

SOUND:
They far surpassed my expectations of sound quality and power. Could not be better.

STYLE:

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:
Semi Pro for 35 years

OVERALL:
Overall I would recommend these for any musician's speaker inventory. They are superb as monitors and make excellent mains for small venues. These will last me a life time.

Subject:Definitely above average compared to it's price ra
Overall:

QUALITY:
Compared to its competitors in it's price range and intended use, its above average as far as build/assembly, and attention to detail. These things will most likely outlast the band you just put together...even if you goof and don't set them up right.

FEATURES:
It has everything you need to hook this up to any modern amplifier. I wished it had two NL4 connectors instead of just one. I love the dual angle pole mount. It solves the coverage problems that with similar products, you just have to live with. One VERY weird ommission (you listening JBL?) What's the deal with not putting rubber feet on the wedge side of the cabinet? It was cheap and easy to install some, but it should've had them to begin with.

EASE OF USE:
Couldn't be any easier to use. Just point and shoot. :)

VALUE:
They're worth the Price, if anything because similar products are similarly priced and this is just as good or better than any
