The Jet City JCA20HV Vintage Tube Guitar Amplifier Head is a simple, single-channel amp, and the all-tube signal path has been completely re-voiced. It’s a bit cleaner, a bit darker, and the power section has been ‘opened-up’ more. In addition to the Presence control, we’ve also added a depth switch based upon Soldano’s famous Depth control. Finally, we’ve included a post-master effects loop.

Not Looking Any MOre
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I got this amp and I must say that I'm surprised at the quality. Tight corners, nice finish, no scratches or crookedness.
|
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had it a little while, but I play 6 hours a day. No problems

General
Your general opinion of this product.
I like this amp. I was looking at the regular JCA20H but everybody was modding them. Seems Jet City took a cue and put all the mods in to make this model. Plenty of clean headroom. An effects loop that is Post EQ not master like the description says. Single channel with master volume. Depth switch. Presence knob. I won't have to mod this. The stock tubes sound fine to me. Got mine hooked up to a Mustang III for a cabinet at this time. The Celestion 100T sounds good but it was built for the Vintage 30.

Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Doesn't really count but I can say that this thing is organically nice when playing.
|
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Depends on your pickups and such. Mine's different than yours.
|
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Superb, no flaws. The back came off easily with 6 screws.
|
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Doesn't really count.
