| So far seems very well made. The tolex is very well wrapped and secured. The whole amp seems very tight and solid. It will actually never have a change to be anything other than that way because I have no plans for this to leave the house much. No play in the knobs; they're firm to turn and stop at the upper and lower ends. Plugging in to jacks is tight. |

| Not enough time to really comment here. But I will say this: whenever I've acquired a product that felt and looked solid out of the box, it has typically held up well over time. |

| Well made and workable tone out of the box. For the price who could ask for more. I would highly recommend this to anyone, veteran or beginner. For someone starting out wanting to have a real tube amp, you'd be crazy not to buy this for the price. But, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE PREAMP TUBES WITH SOMETHING MORE HIGH END. |

| Okay, tonewise, I was initially impressed with the low volume settings. Nice dark tone. I'm playing a Les Paul Classic through it. The neck pickup sound is very dark and pleasing to the ear without any harshness. The bridge pickup sounds thin and brittle. This is with the master at 9 oclock, preamp at noon and presence at 9 to 10 oclock. After to 10 oclock the presence is way harsh. Low, mid and treble controls are very wide and responsive. When I opened it up to noon or further on the master, I got what I expected: the bridge pickup sound fattened up. The neck tone stayed dark but got muddy on the bigger strings. I use 11's. The overall overdrive/distortion became harsh and brittle at higher volumes. Very similar to a Marshall JCM900. So I swapped out the stock preamp tubes with NOS, USA-made GE's. An AT7 in v1 and AX7's in v2 and v3. This took all the harshness and brittleness away. Now it has a very warm and pleasing overdrive. Very pleasant to the ears. |
