The operations performed on the timecoded record or CD (play-pause / speed / position in the track) are transferred to the DJ mixing software. The DJ mixing software applies each operation performed on the timecoded record or CD to the computer audio track loaded in the software. When DJing in front of an audience, Timecode DJ mixing looks exactly like traditional DJ mixing.

To mix with an analog mixer, the DJ connects: Turntables’/CD players’ outputs to DeeJay TRIM 4/6 audio inputs 1 to 4, DeeJay TRIM 4/6 outputs 1 to 4 to the inputs on their analog DJ mixer, Headphones and a microphone to the analog DJ mixer, An amplifier or amplified speakers to the analog DJ mixer’s outputs.
Advantages of timecode DJ mixing
1.
