It does the job of adding more low-end to your cajon's tone. Of course, don't expect it to transform the sound into a sub-woofer.
Sound
How is the tone?
Installation can be simple enough so long as you don't have extra large hands. Downside compared to the original kick drum KickPort is that you don't generally have the option of reaching from the other side (like if the head is removed) for easier installation. Also, if you have internally tunable snares/jingles, the CajonPort may block your tuning method.

Nice to add some depth to an instrument that already has a tendency to get lost in the mix.

Appearance
Not a whole lot to be seen given that the bulk of the device will be housed within the cajon... though the face does stick out about an inch. Brand label peels off for a sleeker look.
