ONE OF THE VERY BEST STANDS OUT THERE !!!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Out of all the stands I've owned through the years, this has to be one of the very best...if not the best one. I plan to get more...
|
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I like the way the boom extension is a two-section where you can have an arm that doesn't get in the way. The other thing is the tubing and construction is heavy-weight. Also, if you get it, make sure you reverse the boom locking handle to the other side as it could interfere with the boom adjustments. (No big deal, just push the bolt through to the other side, attach the washer on the other side and spin the locking lever back on...so simple anyone could do it...)

Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
This is incredibly well built! I've bought all kinds of microphone stands, from a variety of brands and I have to say I'm truly impressed. Most of the ones (even with some of the best names) are wimpy...especially when you're dealing with boom stands. (Just about any stand will hold a microphone, but when you need to boom a microphone you want something that is stable, reliable and won't fail). When you unpack it you'll note it's well made, heavy weight and well designed. It will cost you about twice what lower-grade stands sell for, but you are investing in something that won't fail, you won't trash it later, your good microphones won't hit the ground and it will take the abuse of the road. This one will. It's well made, durable and does what you want it to do.

Sound
How is the tone?
If you tap your keys on the tubing you may have difficulty with coming up with a sound that can be readily amplified (LOL)... (It's a stand, what can I say?)
