Kramer

The Kramer Vanguard Electric Guitar is loaded for action, dressed to kill, and ready to rock. The Vanguard guitar packs all the features required to evoke full-metal mayhem, with a tone classic rockers can appreciate, and a playability to keep the swiftest shredders tooling for hours. With two Alnico humbuckers, a licensed Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, and a body shape styled in an offset V ‘shark fin’, the Kramer Vanguard definitely takes no prisoners. With a smooth-feel satin neck with thorn inlays, this guitar looks as mean as it sounds.

Kramer Vanguard Electric Guitar Features
  • Solid alder body
  • Maple neck with slim, fast neck profile
  • Two Alnico V humbucking pickups
  • Recessed Floyd Rose double-locking vibrato unit
  • One master volume control with treble-bleed, one tone control with push/pull coil taps, and a three-way toggle
  • Fast, slim neck profile, 24 easily accessible frets, and a 12-degree fingerboard radius
Tonewoods
Looks and features don't matter much without the right tonewoods to back it all up, and the Kramer Vanguard starts with some of the best. Its body is crafted from solid alder, a resonant, well-balanced hardwood with firm lows and musical highs. Its bolt-on neck is carved from hard maple with a rosewood fingerboard. It is built to the 25 1/2 inch scale length that many shredders prefer, which offers tight, thumping lows and shimmering harmonics.

General
Your general opinion of this product.
Nice guitar for the money even tho I didn't pay anything for it. I am a petite female and every guitar rather my several ibanez 7 and 8 strings I have been drawf by..sorta like Randy Rouads was with the vee til charvel flunkie hooked him up with a adler body jackson king vee body that had route war and lost. On when a charvel lefty neck and and trimed od the top rear bout and history was made so tho I'm kno randy on a 6 string And never be to aford a jackson allstar version (the custom shop in usa)I bought this and was cheaper cus add said was damage and they NEVER ARE...Ths one had beeen in stock a yr. tp the day I received i so it was jus stock they wanted moved...all ways look at the scratch and dent area at AMS.!!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Yes..pups are typ. pups on this kinda guitar as in price..it does have a floyd knock offfof his newer 1000 series with hardend knife pivets and small grover tuners..like always u get what u pay for and in this case its the electronics not the workmanship..I'm already molesting it and with the 'lectronics I order as well as new machine heads it wil be 1 more of my''scary shredders;;..quick someone take my picture tho I waiting on new blk. stineberger401 ratio from stuwmac and jus ordereda set of bare knuckles warpigs pickups in beat to death black to match its soon to be so industrial coating of couple smashed &dented clearence cans of sprap on bed liner that I thin with something secret and brush on...it outta be orgasmic for me
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I am use to the heavy laying of my rga8 neck and its basewood body make it hardto get it hang right..it now to has a sweet body change that it more to scale if my petie frame so the 6 string pictured above with a factory vee shape feels like I'm rubbin one out on myself ,,
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
pups and pots are crap..I would check it's intonation instantly U receive it,beat on it making it go outta tune and the trem, wammy the sh*t load outta it..block it up un front and have a 2 yr old slobber and ruin the electonics, block the back of trem up and starting in middlr of the saddles cut with wire cutter its strings and everything but takr top tp body height of both pups with straught edge as wll as the trem when level measure at pivot its hight & don't loose info either!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Decent and wont prolly mess sept some floyd upgrades big block bell brass trem blocks..My dude does a few other hidden tricks..trade secrets so tospeak...
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
It had a slick black coating on body only to walnut then sodiam blast its body(w/covers installed( for the bed liner coating
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I only had it 3 days before my dude totally stripped to body and neck and all factoy minus pickup rings are in locall landfill with newpups and machine heads on there way as we write and U read!
